With his third solo exhibition at TEN Gallery, Peter Barnitz reveals FORMATION, A dynamic collection of mixed media sculptural works centered around ideas of healing, identity, protection and faith.  His threatening yet peaceful nail pierced panel constructions, influenced by Native American, African,Aboriginal, and Asian shield design, provide an opening for reflection on the passage of time, the delicate balance of life, and the centering of the soul.  Adorned with his intricate language of patter, color and material, Barnitz considers his shield-like formations to be self-portraits, each as a personal meditation enriched with focus, energy and life.

Peter Barnitz' artwork, Formation (Bed of Nails) was chosen from thousands of submissions to be part of 2015 Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale - National Juried Exhibition and will be on view at SCOPE Miami International Contemporary Art Exhibition.  

Twelve artists from around the United States of America were selected to be part of the exhibition and will be on view (December 1st - 6th) in Miami Beach, Florida.
